A Heartfelt Wedding at Bagden Hall: A Beautiful Story Captured

Your wedding day is one of the most significant days of your life, and capturing the emotions, the memories, and the essence of the day is a privilege for any photographer. I recently had the honour of photographing a beautiful couple, whose love story was deeply personal, thoughtful, and filled with special moments. Let's take a look at their journey together and the celebration of their love that took place at the stunning Bagden Hall Hotel.

A Love Story Eight Years in the Making

Drew and Louise met eight years ago while working at the same school—she was a teacher, and he was a teaching assistant. Their friendship grew over time, especially during their post-work car rides, and eventually blossomed into love. Their relationship is a perfect blend of balance—Louise is the cautious planner, while Drew, despite his laid-back nature, often takes charge of organising. Their shared love for comedy, live music, and rugby league has made them an unbreakable team, supporting each other through life’s ups and downs.

A Cozy and Elegant Winter Wedding

Bagden Hall Hotel provided the perfect backdrop for their intimate wedding with 62 cherished guests. The couple wanted a wedding that reflected their personalities—simple yet meaningful. The emerald green color scheme was present throughout the day, from the bridesmaid dresses to the floral arrangements, creating a warm and timeless feel.

Louise looked breathtaking in an ivory lace gown from Perfect Daze Bridal, paired with striking emerald green shoes by Irregular Choice. Her bridesmaids, Laura, Charlotte and Groomslady, Zoe wore elegant emerald green dresses, while the flower girls, Iris and Sadie, donned adorable white dresses with emerald green headbands. The groomsmen and page boys (Joseph and Isaac) complemented the theme with emerald green bow ties and braces.

DIY Touches and Heartfelt Details

What made Drew and Louise]’s wedding truly unique were the personal, DIY touches. The bride, along with groomsmaid Zoe, handcrafted all the floral arrangements using a mix of fabric roses, carnations, baby’s breath, lavender, and chrysanthemums. The wedding cake was lovingly made by the bride’s mother, Cate, and their table centre pieces featured whiskey bottles donated by guests. Instead of traditional wedding favors, the couple chose to make donations to charities close to their hearts—Macmillan, Marie Curie, and Mind.

Honouring Loved Ones

A deeply touching element of the day was the way Louise, honoured loved ones who had passed away. Photos of her grandparents and father were attached to her bouquet, ensuring they were present in spirit on her special day. Additionally, all ceremony boards were handwritten by her daughter’s godmother,, adding another meaningful layer to the occasion

A Celebration of Love and Laughter

Every aspect of the day reflected Drew and Louise’s love story and their close-knit relationships with family and friends. The atmosphere was filled with laughter, love, and a sense of togetherness, making it a truly unforgettable celebration.

Final Thoughts

Capturing Drew and Louise’s wedding was an absolute honour. Their love, resilience, and shared sense of humour shone through in every moment, making this winter wedding at Bagden Hall Hotel one to remember.
