Liz and Phil's festival themed wedding

If you love the countryside you are going to find so much inspiration from this festival wedding.

Liz and Phil got married at the rustic This Green Moon in Leeds, West Yorkshire. It was a brilliant festival inspired wedding with a fairy light pathway leading to the outdoor ceremony area. Guests were treated to a tipi bar, outdoor seating areas, fire pits (for when the evening became cooler) and games to keep them entertained.

The Ceremony

The ceremony took place outdoors, and was decorated with rustic wooden benches, which was lovely. The ceremony included the couple taking part in hand-fasting an ancient Celtic tradition. It was a romantic occasion, full of lots of love and laughter.

After the ceremony, we went up to the outdoor tipi's for a celebratory drink and a chance for the couple to meet their guests. Next we headed back to the woodland area and the jasmine arch for the portrait photos, which is such a great time for the newly married couple to have some time to let it sink in, and I got some stunning photos in the shade of the trees. The weather at this festival wedding was all sunshine and blue skies, it was a beautiful day.

The Reception

The reception was in the festival area. under the shade of the tipi . The venue is perfect for weddings because it’s so cosy and relaxed, and it’s got such a rustic vibe, especially in the shade when the tipi is full of people having a great party. Liz and Phil continued the festival theme by having Meze boxes for guests to enjoy and a live acoustic set from, The Rebel Sounds. For the reception, the couple had organised woodland games for their guests to enjoy, and everyone had a blast.

The Party

After the speeches, everyone got straight on the dance floor. This Rebel Sounds provided live music for the night. They were amazing!! If you haven't heard of them, I'd recommend having a listen. The dance floor was packed all night.

The evening ended with Jagerbombs all round, which was so much fun, and everyone had a great time. The whole festival wedding was so laid back, from the romantic vows to the wonderful speeches.

Advice From The Couple

Be true to yourselves and keep in mind what you both love and what drew you together. Don't feel like to have to follow insta trends. Spend more money on your band/entertainment and food than your decorations. People remember your band and food more than the decorations. You can do the decorating yourselves to keep costs down.
